Privacy Policy

This policy explains how LYORA collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our beauty-booking service.

1. Who we are

LYORA ("we", "us") is a beauty-booking service operated by [legal entity name], [address], Egypt. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@lyora.beauty.

2. Data we collect

  • Account & profile: your name, phone number, email, profile photo, city, chosen language, and account type (client, artist, or salon). If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email from them; if you verify by phone, we receive your phone number.
  • For artists & salons: your bio, services and prices, portfolio and venue photos, social links, and public handle.
  • Location: with your permission, your device location (to show nearby artists and estimate distance) and any home-service addresses you save, including their map coordinates and any Maps link you provide.
  • Bookings: the services, dates, prices, and notes for appointments you make. When you book, we share your name, phone number, and photo with that artist or salon so they can serve you.
  • Photos you upload, including reference photos for our Style Match feature. Style Match photos are stored securely and analyzed by Google's Vertex AI to find visually similar artist portfolios. These photos may show faces or personal appearance.
  • Payments: if you subscribe to a paid feature, purchases are processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat; we receive subscription status, not your card details. To prevent free-trial abuse, we store a one-way cryptographic hash of your phone number (we cannot reverse it to recover the number).
  • Notifications & device data: a push-notification token for your device, and app-usage/analytics data (via Firebase Analytics) to understand and improve the app.

3. How we use your data

To create your account and profile; to run bookings and connect clients with artists and salons; to power search, distance, and Style Match; to send booking updates and reminders; to process subscriptions and prevent abuse; to provide support; to analyze and improve the service; and to comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal basis

We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the service), with your consent (for example, location and notifications, which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings), to prevent fraud and abuse (legitimate interest), and to meet legal requirements.

5. Who we share it with

With the artist or salon you choose to book. With our service providers who process data on our behalf: Google (Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, and Vertex AI), RevenueCat, and Apple or Google for sign-in and in-app purchases. And where required by law or to protect our users. We do not sell your personal data.

6. International transfers

Our providers (notably Google) process and store data on servers that may be outside Egypt. We rely on our processors' safeguards for such transfers.

7. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Booking records are retained for [period]. Style Match reference photos are retained for [period / "deleted after processing"]. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data except where we must keep it by law.

8. Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your data, and withdraw consent, at any time. You can edit your profile in the app and delete your account from within the app [Settings -> Delete account]. To exercise any other right, contact support@lyora.beauty. You may also complain to Egypt's Personal Data Protection Center.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted transport, access controls, Firebase security rules) to protect your data, though no method is 100% secure.

10. Children

LYORA is not intended for anyone under [16/18]. We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.

11. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a revised date.
